What are sandwich panels for your roof?
Insulated roof panels are produced from a steel outer sheet and an inner sheet of steel, plastic, or aluminium foil with insulation of PUR, PIR, or rock wool in between. A ‘sandwich’ with insulation, so to speak. The roof panel has a trapezoidal, corrugated, or tile profile on the top side. The roof panels can be delivered in many variations, think of the different profiles on the outside, but the choice doesn’t stop there. You can choose from different core thicknesses ranging from 20 to 200mm. If this is not enough for you, you can also choose the interior finish (steel, plastic, aluminium foil) and coatings for the metal inner and outer sheets. The thickness of the insulation layer, and of course the insulation material itself, determine the insulation performance. Good insulation can keep your building frost-free or at a comfortable temperature. Compared to corrugated sheet or sheet pile walls, this results in a significantly lower energy bill and less emission. Roof sandwich panels provide a modern and sleek look to your building. The great advantage of roof panels is that you have an insulated roof in one go, instead of first placing roof covering and then insulating from below, or placing roof covering with insulation panels underneath.

Application of insulated roof panels and roof panels
The most commonly used sandwich panel is the roof panel. This panel has a trapezoidal, corrugated, or tile profile on the top side. In the Netherlands, the roof panel is almost exclusively used for roofs, but in the surrounding countries, this profile is also applied to walls. The bottom of the insulated roof panel can be equipped with a metal inner plate, however, aluminium foil or plastic are also possible. The metal inner plate can also be provided with various coatings for conditions with, for example, high humidity, food storage, or a lot of ammonia. For example, for the agricultural sector, it is advisable to use an inner side with an aluminium foil or steel inner plate with an ammonia-resistant coating. If it is not exactly clear to you which insulated roof panel is optimal for your wishes and situation, we are happy to advise you without obligation.

These roof panels can be finished with, for example, roof tiles.
