PIR panels with a two-sided aluminium coating.
PIR panels are hard, plastic insulation panels that can be used for many purposes. PIR panels are very suitable for insulating pitched roofs, flat roofs, attics, front walls, cavity walls and floors.
Because PIR is a high-quality insulation material, relatively thin PIR panels are needed to provide a high insulation performance. This is achieved due to the two-sided aluminium coating. The aluminium coating reflects warmth back into the indoor space. PIR panels with two-sides aluminium coating have a naturally higher insulation performance than, for example, PIR panels with a bitumen- or glass fiber coating. On top of that the aluminium coating provides a vapour-tight lining that prevents moisture and condensation.
PIR panels are lightweight and have a high pressure strength (150 kPa). This makes them easy to work with and suitable for insulating floors and flat roofs. PIR panels with two-sided aluminium coating are slightly more expensive due to the difficulty in production compared to other insulation materials. However, they offer high insulation performance in return. If this is important to you, then PIR panels with 2-sided aluminium coating are definitely a good option.
Benefits of PIR pates with two-sided aluminium coating:
- You can achieve high insulation performance with minimal thickness.
- Lightweight and easily handled.
- Reflecting and moisture-tight.
The PIR panels are bonded with materials such as plaster, OSB, Underlayment or Fermacell. This saves you a lot of time and allows you to start finishing the panels right away.
Do you want to insulate your (attic) floor from the top? Our PIR + Spano floorpanels are a perfect solution for that. For the right drainage of water from a flat roof you can choose PIR sloped panels.
The measurements of these PIR panels from top brand Unilin are 2400x1200x20 mm and have an R-value of 0,90. The panels can be ordered individually (2.88m2 each) and come with a manufacturer’s logo. Does this panel not have the desired thickness? We also supply the panels in other thicknesses.

PIR panels with two-sided aluminium tongue- and groove joint.
PIR panels with two-sided aluminium coating and provided with a tongue- and groove joint are a hard plastic insulation material. It is very suitable for insulating cavity walls, pitched roofs, flat roofs, front walls and floors. PIR is a high-quality insulation material because you can achieve high insulation performance (r-value) with minimal thickness. This high insulation performance is primarily achieved due to the two-sided aluminium coating. The aluminium coating reflects warmth back into the indoor space. PIR panels with two-sides aluminium coating have a naturally higher insulation performance than, for example, PIR panels with a bitumen- or glass fiber coating. On top of that the aluminium coating provides a vapour-tight coating that prevents moisture and condensation.

Advantages of PIR 2-sided aluminium tongue and groove:
Optimal insulation performance, lightweight and easy to work with, equipped with a tongue-and-groove joint all around. PIR panels with 2-sided aluminium T&G are lightweight and have a high pressure strength (150 kPa). This makes them easy to work with and suitable for insulating floors and flat roofs. PIR panels with 2-sided aluminium T&G are slightly more expensive due to the difficulty in production compared to other insulation materials. However, they offer high insulation performance in return. If this is important to you, then PIR panels with 2-sided aluminium coating are definitely a good option.

PIR + Plasterboard
PIR + Plasterboard with chamfered edges on the length sides are the ideal solution for attic roof insulation, pitched roof insulation, or wall insulation. With PIR + Plasterboard, you can insulate and finish in one step. These insulation panels are bonded with plasterboard as the top layer, allowing for insulation and finishing in one go. This saves you a lot of time and labour. PIR panels are equipped with a vapour-tight aluminium coating on both sides, eliminating the need to add an extra moisture proof foil. With PIR panels, you can achieve high insulation performance with minimal thickness. Therefore, with PIR + Plasterboard you have a relatively thin insulation layer, which is especially useful when space is limited or if you want to minimize space for insulation with a finishing layer. If you want high-quality insulation panels for insulation and finishing in one step, choose PIR + Plasterboard.
Advantages of PIR + Plasterboard with chamfered edges:
- High insulation performance
- Minimal loss of space
- Ready for finishing immediately
- Time and labour saving
These PIR panels feature a top layer of plasterboard, making them lightweight and easy to work with. One drawback of PIR + Plasterboard is that it cannot bear heavy loads and is not very impact-resistant. If this is important to you, it’s better to use PIR + OSB, PIR + Underlayment, or PIR + Fermacell. Fermacell panels are reinforced with special fibers and gypsum, making them stronger, more impact-resistant, and able to withstand higher loads. Underlayment can be used directly for finish work. This material is naturally strong because it consists of different veneer layers. OSB panels are the most economical of the three but less suitable for finish work. PIR + OSB is often used as a reinforced rear wall, with plasterboard screwed over it, creating a strong wall where you can hang various items.
PIR + Plasterboard panels feature chamfered edges on both length sides. This allows you to smoothly finish the seam between two panels with mesh tape and joint filler. Subsequently, you can finish the panels with plasterwork or wallpaper. If you prefer a finishing panel with a visible seam, you can also opt for PIR + Plasterboard with rounded edges. For damp areas, we bond PIR + Moisture Resistant Plasterboard, which are moisture-resistant panels suitable for bathrooms, toilets, and other sanitary facilities.
These PIR + Plasterboard panels with chamfered edges have dimensions of 1200x600cm. The construction consists of a 12.5mm thin plasterboard sheet with chamfered edges bonded to a 20mm thick PIR panel with an R-value of 0.91. If these PIR + Plasterboard panels do not have the desired thickness or dimensions, we also supply other PIR + Plasterboard panels.
